Our Story
Rockies Procurement Services (RPS) was designed to streamline procurement efforts and maximize savings for K-12 districts and schools in Colorado, Arizona, and Wyoming
Rockies Procurement Services (RPS) is a K–12 food and nutrition purchasing cooperative founded in 2009 by a group of Colorado and Wyoming school districts—large and small—to bring the first Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) to schools in the region and help them buy smarter.
By combining member purchasing power with USDA-compliant contracts, procurement expertise, and ongoing analytics, RPS helps districts and charter schools reduce administrative workload, make informed purchasing decisions, and drive meaningful savings on food and supplies while building a network of like-minded school nutrition leaders.
Today, with 49 members across the Colorado Front Range, Western Slope, Southern Wyoming, and Arizona, RPS understands the unique needs of both rural and urban districts—from rugged terrain to the taste preferences of students in the West—and facilitates more than $30 million in annual purchasing.
